I have recently taken retirement from my NHS committment and now concentrating on private practice. I have been Consultant in General and Respiratory Medicine for 25 years at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford and Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. I have previously been Clinical Director for Medicine and Chairman of Lung cancer group in Kent (TSSG).
I frequently investigate and treat difficult-to-understand general symptoms like cough, shortage of breath and lack of energy etc.
I have an interest in developing procedures and pathways for rapid and less invasive ways to diagnose respiratory conditions. I developed Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Medical Thoracoscopy service at Darent Valley Hospital.
I also have interest in education and training in Respiratory Medicine. I have been member of speciality training committee for Respiratory medicine in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery.
